We are a proud member of the Yamato Ryu Nippon Budokai (YNBK), led by headmaster Marc Mebis Sensei. Together with a network of dedicated budo practitioners and teachers, we form a community of exceptional individuals that we consider family.

The YNBK headquarters is situated in Belgium though there are member dojos in the Netherlands, Spain, England, the United States, and here in Norway.

Tochu dojo is lead by Cecil P. Roux Sensei, who brings experience in various Japanese martial arts, supported by his senior students. A dojo is sacred space for learning and training; a place to leave the outside world behind and focus on growth and personal development.

These aspects make up the driving force to good training and self improvement. The door is always open for new brothers and sisters.

2. Dan MJER Iaijutsu

My name is Cecil, and I have practiced martial arts for over 30 years. My path led me to the Japanese sword art of Musō Jikiden Eishin-ryū iaijutsu seven years ago, training first under Tom Duffy Sensei at the Rhode Island Budo Academy, and later under Marc Mebis Sensei at YNBK.

Today I teach at Tochu Dojo in Oppsal Arena, Oslo. For me, iaijutsu is above all a path of personal growth, focus and discipline forged through the sword. This, I carry into every aspect of daily life, and is what I love to share with others.
